North Carolina rose to fourth place on Site Selection magazine’s annual Governor’s Cup that gauges the number of new and expanding corporate facilities during the past year.
Within the Triad, the Lexington-Thomasville area ranked fourth among 576 micropolitan areas (those with populations of between 10,000 and 50,000) and the Greensboro-High Point area ranked seventh among Tier Two Metros, areas with populations of between 200,000 and 1 million.
