When it comes to renting Class A office space, the Triangle region is still among the cheapest metro areas in the country for businesses to operate.

On average, the asking rental rate is $21.28 per square foot on an annual basis for office suites in the higher-end office buildings in the Triangle region, according to a first quarter report from Grubb & Ellis.

The Triangle ranked at No. 46 among the 60 metro areas tracked by Grubb & Ellis in a separate report that looked at national numbers and which was compiled using fourth quarter data. The Triangle had an average rate falling below Class A office rents in Austin, Cleveland, Orlando, Atlanta and even Charleston, S.C.

Even with a national rating of No. 46, the Triangle offers many great lease and purchase opportunities for business owners. Rates are still super low and N.C. offers a great business friendly environment.
